Freshwater East


Set within the Pembrokeshire national park, opposite the beach at Freshwater East with the Coastal Path just behind. We have a owned Tenby Lodge since 2003 and have spent many holidays here.  We love exploring  nearby beaches & castles.  Tenby with it's  narrow streets with cute shops within its walls and 2 beaches North & South.  

Penally, Amroth and Saundersfoot all a mile or so away.

Manorbier with its castle and again sandy beach. Skinkle Haven with views along the coast and walks.

Swanlake Bay 2miles on the coastal path at Freshwater East.  2 miles to the right the coast path will take you to world famous Barafundle bay.  Also accessed by car at Stackpole.  At Bosherston there are the famous lily ponds.  Walks from here can lead you to Barafundle Bay in one direction & Broadhaven Beach.  Further along by car you can reach Freshwater West famous surfing,  Harry Potter & Deathly shadows Dobby burial  & also  Robin Hood. Pembroke and Carew are two beautiful castles to explore.  At Pembroke Dock are the main supermarkets and fast food.  There is also the ferry terminal to Ireland.  There are day trips to Ireland. 

Doted along the coastline, are Angle, St. David's cathedral.  One week is never enough to explore the whole area.  


OUR LOCATION



Set within the National Park we are in an ideal position for just a beach holiday, walking the coastal path or exploring the area. The beach itself if ideal for swimming, fishing, relaxing, sunbathing, walking, water sports such as paddleboarding and canoeing.

ON SITE Pub/Restaurant which serves food, drink and icecreams. Reservations needed as gets booked up quick.  Weekly quizzes and special nights.  Set in the Pembrokeshire National Park, the sandy Beach and coastal path are just across the road.  Peak season paddleboards are for hire available.  

FUN ACTIVITIES


Ideal for families, there is a freshwater stream that runs down to the sea.  The Long sandy beach is ideal for building sandcastles and/or just chilling.  The Sandunes behind are good for sunbathing on more chillier days.  The Coastal path which is just behind the beach gives fantastic views of the headlands and beaches below.  Freshwater East is excellent for coastal walking, birdwatching and exploring.  The sea is safe to bathe/swim in and activities such as paddleboarding, surfing, kayaking etc.  At both ends of the beach are rock pools for the children to explore. The Burrows which is behind the beach and coastal path has lots of things to see and do.  Just behind the National Parks carpark and next to the caravan park is a reserve where you can look for birds, frogs etc.
